Ace Whitehead is the Director of Pitching Development at Lamar University. He played four years at the University of Texas as both an outfielder and a pitcher — working weekend rotations as a starter and closing out games out of the bullpen — before finishing his playing career at the University of Southern California. After an injury ended his playing days, Ace shifted fully into coaching, turning years on the mound into a teaching career focused on pitching mechanics, development, and getting pitchers to their next level.
Today he works with players from middle school through college, combining a player's eye with a coach's precision.
